Andrea Pizarro is a board-certified Physician Assistant with over 12 years of experience in Acute Care/Trauma Surgery, Robotic Surgery and Aesthetic medicine. Andrea graduated with honors from CUNY- York College in 2011 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies, and scored in the top tenth percentile on the national boards. She later pursued her Master’s Degree from PACE University. Upon graduating PA school, she found her passion in the surgical arena and was trained by NYC top Surgeons. She quickly developed optimal surgical skills and more importantly fine dexterity that allowed her to effortlessly transition to the aesthetic world.

Andrea not only loves hands on procedures but also has a passion in helping future PA students achieve their full potential and continues to be a faculty member of the school she graduated from. Andrea has assisted in various surgical subspecialties including Bariatric, Colorectal, General, GYN/Onc, and Urological Surgery. And continues to hold a senior level Robotic Surgery PA position in a well-respected teaching institution. Andrea’s surgical background allows her to provide detailed oriented aesthetic results.

At MICARI Aesthetics & Wellness, she is the COO and has extensive experience in neurotoxin, dermal fillers, BBL laser modalities, laser skin resurfacing, PRP Microneedling and pioneers the medical weight loss program. Andrea is fluent in English and Spanish, and currently lives in Long Island with her husband and two daughters. Andrea loves being a mother and spending quality time with her family. She enjoys running marathons for fun and her goal is to complete the 6 Major marathons someday.

Kris Pizarro is a board-certified Physician Assistant with over 11 years of experience in multiple areas of surgical and non-surgical procedures. Kris graduated from York College in 2013 with a bachelor’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies and was also awarded the prestigious PA student scholarship in 2011 from the New York State Society of Physician Assistants. He subsequently obtained his Master of Science with honors in Physician Assistant Studies from PACE University. Throughout his clinical career he has worked in NYC and Long Islands top hospitals in subspecialties such as General Surgery, minimally invasive Surgery, Plastic Surgery, Vascular and Aesthetic Medicine.

He has attended numerous specialized trainings in advance aesthetic techniques and treatment modalities. Kris is committed in providing each patient with the best possible experience, personalized care plan, while offering the latest and safest treatment modalities. With his extensive experience in the surgical realm, facial anatomy, and acquired surgical dexterity, you can rest assure he will deliver artistic natural results. Kris continues to work in Robotic Surgery assisting in various subspecialties such as Bariatrics, Colo-rectal, General Surgery, and GYN/ONC.

He is a seasoned aesthetic injector with hundreds of aesthetic treatments under his belt including neurotoxin, dermal fillers, biostimulators, liquid facelift, liquid butt augmentation, PDO threading, laser skin resurfacing, vein treatments and specializes in advance facial balancing. Kris is fluent in English and Spanish and currently lives in Long Island with his wife and two daughters. He enjoys exercising, playing soccer and spending time with his family.

Dr. Andrew Cortes was born in New York City and raised in Long Island, NY. Dr. Cortes’ academic interests led him to obtain a bachelor’s degree in Engineering from Cornell University and subsequently he attended SUNY Downstate Medical Center for medical school. He then completed an Intern year in Internal Medicine at Stony Brook University Hospital before returning to SUNY Downstate for four years of residency in Diagnostic Radiology. Subsequent to this, Dr. Cortes partook in a dedicated year of fellowship training in Vascular and Interventional Radiology at the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill Hospital system.

Dr. Cortes is Board Certified in Vascular and Interventional Radiology as well as Diagnostic Radiology. His early years post-training were spent providing care in a community setting and involved the full gamut of interventional procedures as well as diagnostic imaging. Dr. Cortes then developed a particular interest in the field of Vein medicine as well as embolization treatments. This includes vast experience in: vein ablation, vein sclerotherapy, phlebectomy, venous stenting, ovarian vein embolization, varicocele embolization, uterine fibroid embolization, prostate artery embolization, genicular artery embolization, amongst others.

Dr. Cortes is fluent in English and Spanish and also maintains a proficiency in Italian and French. His most notable characteristic is his dedication to learning about each of his patients and developing a strong trusting relationship with them. Aside from his professional life, Dr. Cortes enjoys spending time with his family and friends, is an avid sports enthusiast, and loves reading.
